Hari Raya treat for orphans

Some 90 orphans from three orphanages were feted to a Hari Raya feast by the Tropicana Golf and Country Resort Berhad at its clubhouse yesterday.

The guests between the ages of six and 17 were from Rumah Bakti in Ulu Klang, Rumah Ozanam and Rumah Hope in Petaling Jaya.

They were entertained by a clown, played games and were treated to a sumptuous high tea.

At the event, three of the company's corporate clients- Season's Club, Delta Club and Caesars Club-donated RM30,000 to the homes. Each received RM10,000.

The children also received duit Raya and goodie bags from Seasons Club group executive director Lester Chan and Tropicana's general manager Herman Tan.

Tan said the company, a subsidiary of Dijaya Corporation Berhad, had always been active in helping the less fortunate.
